Marvel is shutting down Marvel Unlimited and moving readers to a new Marvel Comics app powered by WEBTOON. New sign-ups closed Oct. 5. If you read there, the clock is already running.
The dates
- Oct. 5: new sign-ups closed and Annual Plus retired.
- Nov. 16, 2026: the new Marvel Comics app powered by WEBTOON launches, and import of your library and reading history starts.
- Dec. 7: reading and new content end on Marvel Unlimited.
- Dec. 21: browse-only access to your library so you can check the import.
- Dec. 28: the Marvel Unlimited app is removed.
What you actually have to do
Start a new WEBTOON subscription when the new app launches on Nov. 16. Your library and reading history are set to import from then. Marvel says payment info is not shared between the two, so you will enter it again. Use the Dec. 21 browse window to confirm everything came over.
What it costs
The new app needs its own WEBTOON subscription. Active Marvel Unlimited subscriptions get an automated prorated refund on or around Nov. 16, which takes 3 to 5 business days. Marvel.com refund help stays open through Dec. 31, 2026.
What we still don’t know
Marvel hasn’t published the import steps yet; it says details will be shared as launch approaches. Nobody has tested the import, so we can’t tell you how clean it will be. We will update this page when we know.
